About the PI

Dr. Hund is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University.  He holds a joint appointment in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine and serves as Associate Director for the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute.  Before joining Ohio State in July 2011, Dr. Hund was an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at University of Iowa and completed post-doctoral training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.  He received his B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University (1996), and his M.S. (2000) and Ph.D. (2004) in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.  Dr. Hund has expertise in mathematical modeling and computational biology, molecular and cell biology, imaging, and small animal physiology.
